North Carolina General Statutes
The North Carolina General Statutes are freely available online and many attorneys have at least one volume somewhere in their office. Now, you can take the chapters that matter to your practice with you, even to places that do not have WiFi or a good cell signal. This collection of apps feature a convenient and easy to navigate compilation of General Statutes organized by practice area. Every section is at your finger tips and you will never have to wait for a download to get to the section you need.
Each app also allows you to update the internal database with the newest laws and changes. Updates to the database are made without reinstalling the app or being pestered by annoying update notices. You decide when to make the update from within the app. When you do you can do so knowing that you will have the current North Carolina law updated monthly.
To the right is a Simulation of what the app looks like and how easy it is to use. Click on a Chapter title to view the Articles in that Chapter. Click on an Article title to view the Sections in that Article. And click on a Section title to view that Section. Use the "Back" button to return to the previous menu. There are significant differences, however, in how this simulation works compared to how the app works. Mainly, this simulation is fed by an online database so you may experience lag between page loads due to your internet connection. Additionally, some of the functionality of the app, such as click-and-hold to copy a section or display a title, are not available in the simulation. Finally, the appearance of this simulation is a little different from that of the app so be sure to check out the screen shots.
